Pramod Tiwari, who won the prestigious Rampur Khas assembly seat, for 7th time in a row
defeating his nearest rival Mrs. Pushpa Devi of Apna Dal by a margin of over 80,000 votes has
entered the Guinness Book of World Records. In 2011, Pramod Tiwari defeated Hira Madi Patel
Of Bahujan Samajwadi Party By 31,544 Record Votes and Retains his own World Record.
According to the UPCC spokesmen, Mr. Kishore Varshney, Mr. Tiwari, by winning the seat for
the 7th consecutive time on the ticket of the same party, same symbol and from same seat has
booked his name in the Guinness Book of World Records. He added that his historic victory is an
unbreakable record.
Vidhan Sabha elections resumed after the completion of its 5 year tenure in 1989 & Indian National
Congress, for the third consecutive time, selected its praised & dynamic leader Mr.Pramod Tiwari from
Rampur Khas to contest. In this political battle, Mr.Pramod Tiwari actualized commendable success over his competitors with sheer proficiency & experience. Once again, the public whole heartedly welcomed
Congress in their region.
Now was the time when Mr.Pramod Tiwari outshined all the other leaders & his influential contribution
to the party got him elected as the Chief Controller of Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Mandal Dal. With this, came
in Janta Dal party under the able guidance of honorable Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Uttar Pradesh govt. was bearing the brunt of not so influential politicians & in 1991, U.P. Vidhan Sabha
was announced with mid-term elections. The state was witnessing cold waves from its competitors
& casteism & religious issues were on its zenith. Once again, Mr.Pramod Tiwari with his intellectual
ability, jumped in the pool of formidable bearings from his native land ‘Rampur Khas’ & came out with
flying colors. Mr.Pramod Tiwari got ample recognition not only in his party but also set a benchmark
for other leaders. As a result, for the very first time, Mr.Tiwari was chosen as the unopposed leader of
Vidhan Mandal Dal. As the state was already divided in the name of caste & religion, therefore, BJP’s
govt. under the supervision of Mr.Kalyan Singh, took control.
In 1993, people again got to face mid-term elections as the condition of U.P.govt. was deteriorating. As
a matter of fact, Mr.Pramod Tiwari sympathized with the problem of general masses & supported them
by once again standing for the elections from Rampur Khas (Pratapgarh). Standing tall among all his
competitors, Mr. Tiwari got elected with legion votes as Member of Vidhan Sabha.
Due to less proficient & amateur politicians, the state govt. was not able to complete its prominent
plans for the betterment of its people. As a result of which, in 1996 followed the mid-term elections.
With this, Mr.Pramod Tiwari decided to fight the elections from Rampur Khas. People fully supported
him as he always shouldered his responsibilities with full zeal & enthusiasm. His inclination towards his
work & the support of his people got him elected for the seventh time in Vidhan Sabha from Rampur
Khas (Pratapgarh). Unfortunately, even this time, Congress party could not get hold of the governance
& again BJP govt. led by Mr.Kalyan Singh, took control. Mr.Pramod Tiwari, with piled up political ups &
downs, somehow managed to complete the tenure of 5 years.
Mr.Tiwari till date has seen a turbulent political career. But like a true warrior, he has every time battled
with the situation no matter how tough & devastating it has been. A pledge that he took initially for the
upliftment & betterment of Rampur Khas was actualized by him with his intellectual might & undoubted
hard work.
Mr.Pramod Tiwari, after acquiring political experience, toured important countries like China, Singapore,
Thailand, Hongkong, Nepal, Australia, Russia, Canada, Japan, Italy, England, America, France, Netherlands etc. Just like the people of Rampur Khas supported Mr.Pramod Tiwari with their trust similarly, Mr.Tiwari
also backed his people with all his care & might in order to flourish prosperity & peace. Mr.Tiwari
got a complete network of roads constructed for the people of his constituency to overcome the
transportation complexities. Five bridges were made over the Sai River to join the two divided areas
together & Pratapgarh was directly linked with Sultanpur. To further resolve the commuting issues,
roadway corporation depot was placed. Along with this, a powerhouse of 132KVA in Lalganj was also
setup. Drinking water was made readily available with numerous schemes under which innumerable
hand pumps were stationed.
Education being of utmost importance to one & all was also on the welfare priority list. Mr. Pramod
Tiwari got many inter-colleges established & is till date funding for their betterment & development.
Colleges in Lalganj area were specifically established to give all the students a bright future. Not
only was his contribution limited to his Rampur Khas constituency in Pratapgarh but, it also was
made available to the people who lived below the line of poverty. Mr.Tiwari considered his utmost
responsibility of providing support to the needy. Mr.Pramod Tiwari has always been a helping hand,
a guiding star for the people in distress. He has never left his people alone & has always helped them
come out of their problems. Even after dedicating himself completely to the service of mankind,
Mr.Tiwari managed to take out time for his love for sports like Cricket, Badminton, Hockey & Football.
Like a shining star for the people in adversity, Mr.Pramod Tiwari has been the only leader to be elected
7 times (in the years 1980, 1985, 1989, 1991, 1993, 1996 & 2002) from the same constituency of
Rampur Khas as member of Vidhan Sabha. Mr.Tiwari was honored with the title of ‘Ideal Leader’ on
23rd March, 2005, for completing 25yrs of having being elected 7 times from the same constituency. To
commend him for his achievements, Mr.Tiwari was appreciated for his work & intellect by Mr.Mulayam
Singh Yadav along with Mr.Azam Khan & Mr.Lalji Tondon. Mr.Tiwari has always wanted to make
people’s life less complicated for his people. He has dedicated his time for the upliftment of citizens.
